Inventory Clerk

Full time – Hourly position.  8-12 hours per day.  Monday - Friday and occasional weekends.  In Brighton Michigan.

Position Overview:

The primary function of the Inventory Clerk is to work in our Mechanical Contracting Parts Warehouse managing all aspects of the inventory.  The successful candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and dependable. Those who have experience managing parts inventory or worked a parts counter are ideal.

Primary Responsibilities of Inventory Clerk:

• Manage inventory control systems and maintain acceptable inventory levels
• Perform cycle counts and full inventory audits
• Assist technicians in maintaining rolling stocks
• Rectify miscalculations
• Report findings and make recommendations for improvement to management
• Prepare parts for upcoming jobs
• Prepare orders for next day
• Work closely with Purchasing department
• Perform any duties as may be assigned

Requirements and Qualifications for Inventory Clerk:

• Solid working knowledge of an ERP or other inventory control systems
• ISO process understanding
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, agility test and 7-year background check
• Valid driver’s license
• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience
• 3+ years’ inventory clerk experience or similar role 
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to handle high stress situations if needed
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Follow company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
