Senior Accountant

Job Overview:

The Senior Accountant performs professional level accounting work in the preparation, maintenance, and review of accounting records. The position requires considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounting functions. Exempt position.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in the monthly close process
• Preparation of audit workpapers
• Review and/or preparation of bank reconciliations

• Perform any duties as may be assigned and operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to handle high stress situations if needed
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Follow company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies

Qualifications / Experience / Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5+ years of general accounting experience 

• Must be experienced with accounting for job costs, fixed assets, property management and construction activity
• Able to access and accurately input information using company software 
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience with Timberline software preferred
• Must have considerable knowledge with basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions
• Accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines

• Pass 7-year background check and drug screen
