The primary function is to drive a straight truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW to transport and deliver petroleum based products. There will be exposure to dust, fumes, high and low temperatures, slippery surfaces, low-lighted work areas and high noise levels. Driver may be required to drive in hazardous conditions, including weather, tight quarters, and inner-city locations. Compliance with all DOT, Company and Safety Policies, procedures and practices is required at all times.

Qualifications:

• Be able to lift 50lbs of necessary equipment
• Possess a CDL license with proper endorsements, including hazmat and tanker
• Physically be able to load and unload trucks
• Experience in driving in all types of weather conditions
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Pass 7 year background check
• Acceptable driver’s license

Primary Responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:

• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission transport vehicles in various road conditions throughout Michigan and surrounding states.
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, checking that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
• Load fuels as instructed at designed truck rack using fuel arms and hoses that require lifting requirements of 50 pounds without assistance.
• Responsible for general maintenance of truck, including but not limited to: checking oil and fuel levels
• Complete all “pre-trip” requirements before each truck run and “post-trip” requirement at the end of each shift. This requires ability to push 146 pounds and pull 146 pounds.
• Ability to read and complete written documentation with respect to Bill of Lading, Inventory, Pre and Post trips inspections, Orders and Fuel ticket copies. Ensure fuel tickets match orders.
• Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines.
